Here’s a link to a Wikipedia page about trees in general. Here’s a link to photosynthesis. Here is a link to a Wikipedia page about the general topic of plants and finally here is a link about a topic I recently discussed:Acidic rain.

Some Tree Facts

As most of you may know trees are very important and are a major part of the reason that Earth is able to sustain life by providing oxygen for all land dwelling animals. Trees also provide shelter for many organisms from bacteria to just about all species of birds. Trees also indirectly provide shelter for larger animals by protecting them from harsh weather.
Anyone with basic knowledge of trees knows they turn carbon dioxide into oxygen and animals breathe in that oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide but many people don’t know how exactly this works. The image below is a very simplified version of how this works but it still shows how plants turn carbon dioxide into oxygen. The tree takes in oxygen through its leaves and water through its roots an uses electromagnetic radiation to create glucose and oxygen. This process is much more complicated but this should explain it well enough.
